Jones Theater Restoration
and Improvements

The Jones Theater successfully launched a “Go Fund Me” internet funding campaign in March 2014. The Campaign was organized and directed by former Westcliffe residents Peter Link and Julia Wade of Watchfire Music and was successful in raising 50 percent of the funds required to re-insulate and restore the Jones auditorium. The campaign continues to finish raising sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to complete the work. This includes restoring the floor of the auditorium with a concrete base, repairing and re-insulating the east wall of the auditorium to cut down on propane costs, and replacing the old heaters in the auditorium with new energy efficient ones in the auditorium floor.

Hearing Loop Installed

A very special part of the project is to install a hearing loop in the auditorium so that people wearing hearing aids can enjoy movies, plays, and music in the theater without distortion. An area has been added for wheelchairs at the rear of the theater auditorium. For information on the hearing loop, click here.
